Summary: Allow RewriteMap in a .htaccess file
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_rewrite
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

RewriteMap is not permitted in a .htaccess file. I presume there are good
reasons for this. However, it would be amazingly convenient if it were
permitted. Can we consider the implications of doing so, and, if it's not
terrible, permit it, perhaps with an associated configuration directive for the
server administrator to enable/disable this feature?
