--- Comment #116 from Ivan Krivyakov <[email protected]> 2010-07-23 09:54:55 EDT --- (In reply to comment #115) In a nutshell, in standard Apache distribution, proxy functionality (CONNECT request) does not work when connecting via HTTPS. Some people argue this is by design, because it is not in the RFC. Other people say this is useful and not prohibited by the RFC, so it should be included. Current status quo is that this feature is not in the Apache trunk, and if someone needs it, they have to apply a patch to their version of Apache, or port a patch from an older version. I believe that if this feature is included in the trunk, it would be THE GOOD THING. I will make the server more useful and will alleviate the need for patches, thus improving security and stability. -- Configure bugmail: https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
