I suspect your compiler installation is borked. Usually the gcc ocmpiler on Solaris 10 is installed at /usr/sfw/bin. Maybe you are compiling 2.0.63 and 2.0.64 with different compiler installations (PATH settings)? Compare the tool chain used and the configure output whether you find anything suspect.
