Bug #: 52182
Summary: Encoding issues in subject and Atom format
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.3.12-beta
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mod_mbox
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Classification: Unclassified
The message:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-announce/201111.mbox/%[email protected]%3E
causes some problems on mail.apache.org:
1) Subject appears as:
=?utf-8?B?VGhlIEFwYWNoZSBTb2Z0d2FyZSBGb3VuZGF0aW9uIEFubm91bmNlcyBBcGFj?=
=?utf-8?B?aGUgVGlrYeKEoiB2MS4wIA==?=
which is not very readable. This appears to be due to the use of TM in the
subject line.
2) when generated in Atom format:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/www-announce/?format=atom
the output for the above message is garbled:
