At PHP they say they can't fix it because Apache doesn't provide any way to
detect client disconnection except when php tries to send output. If that's
true there's a huge design flaw in the way Apache interfaces with PHP (this may
concern other modules too, I have no idea).
It's definitely something php MUST be able to detect, regardless of whether
it's trying to send output or not.
