Bug ID: 56251
Summary: Increase maximum length of FcgidInitialEnv string
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.26
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mod_fcgid
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
FcgidInitialEnv only accepts strings of length 127, silently truncating longer
strings. This limit is frequently inadequate for the PERL5LIB environment
variable.
This issue has been noted elsewhere:
http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/httpd-dev/201008.mbox/%[email protected]%3E
http://gmod.org/wiki/Recompiling_mod_fcgid_to_avoid_truncated_Perl_library_paths
The 512-byte limit proposed in the second link seems reasonable.
