A popular open source repository for AIX installs two architectures of openssl
in:
/opt/freeware/lib and /opt/freeware/lib64
but acinclude.m4 will always pick lib/. It does not use pkgconfig.
On AIX, 64-bit builds have the OBJECT_MODE environment variable set to "64".
(not a regression)
