Bug ID: 57668
Summary: Need a directive to allow authentication and
authorization when mod_cache is enabled
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.2.13
Hardware: PC
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: mod_cache
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
In Apache 2.4.x there is a directive CacheQuickHandler that will allow other
modules to process even though mod_cache is enabled. However there is no such
directive in Apache 2.2.x. We have several Apache instances in the deployment
with a mix of 2.2.x and 2.4.x where WebGates has been setup. The desired
behavior is that Webgate should still be able to control the authentication and
authorization flow when mod_cache is enabled, to process every request so that
we can ensure proper authentication and authorization on the requested
resource.
