Bug ID: 65769 Summary: Child processes fail to start Product: Apache httpd-2 Version: 2.4.52 Hardware: PC OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: Core Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org Reporter: a...@spareknet.org Target Milestone: --- Starting with Apache 2.4.52 the child processes for Apache fail to start after a period of time or after so many requests. Hard to isolate exactly how to replicate the issue. But after a period of time, Apache will stop accepting new connection until the parent Apache process is eventually restarted. Requests for new web pages will just hang. Seems to be affecting mostly servers using the event MPM. Might be related to bug 65592 - https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65592 - in that a similar issue was introduced in Apache 2.4.49. In this particular case reverting back to Apache 2.4.51 resolves the issue. Nothing is reported in the Apache error_log when this hanging event occurs. Web hosting service providers using DirectAdmin and cPanel are reporting this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: bugs-unsubscr...@httpd.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: bugs-h...@httpd.apache.org
