--- Comment #1 from abernal <[email protected]> --- Confirmed the root cause: set_options() (server/core.c) returns a plain fatal error directly when an Options value falls outside an "Options=" restriction, independently of the Nonfatal=Override check in invoke_cmd(), which only covers whether the Options directive is allowed in .htaccess at all, not per-option restrictions. Reproduced the exact repro (Options=Includes + Nonfatal=Override, .htaccess with Options +FollowSymLinks): 500 on an unpatched build, 200 with the fix.
