abernal <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |WONTFIX Status|NEW |RESOLVED --- Comment #2 from abernal <[email protected]> --- Correction to Comment 1: PR #928 (the byte-vs-column fix referenced there) was closed without merging; the maintainers preferred not to add column-width tracking for multi-byte names, since the same byte-counting approach regresses other charsets (e.g. ISO-8859-1 names get overcounted the same way). Instead, the limitation is now documented: PR #929 (merged) clarifies in mod_autoindex.xml that NameWidth/DescriptionWidth are measured in bytes, not display columns, and recommends IndexOptions HTMLTable for directories with multi-byte or wide-character names, since HTMLTable lays the listing out as an actual table instead of padding with whitespace. Resolving as WONTFIX for the FancyIndexing column-width case; HTMLTable is the supported workaround. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
