2010

[email protected]:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP

        Architecture: OpenBSD.amd64
        Machine : amd64
>Description:
After about 20 logins or so my SKEY login stopped working. Having
tried multiple dozen times to login it wouldn't work. So I made a testuser
and luckily on the second login it didn't work either but I see no
correllation between the two. A second testuser didn't seem to have a
problem getting through 5 logins or more.
>How-To-Repeat:
I have the skey set up the host mimas.centroid.eu, the testuser
that doesn't work has the secret passphrase "FOReveryoung1" no quotes and
the /etc/skey/testuser file looks like this:
testuser
md5
99
mima79226
ea9744c0ae7f7160

----
When trying to log in as testuser this is what I did (unsuccessfully):

# su - testuser
$ skey -md5 -n 10 `skeyinfo`
Reminder - Do not use this program while logged in via telnet.
Enter secret passphrase:

CRIB CHAT MARC HOOF97: MULE IS MIKE COLD TRIO BODE 98: LUKE ROBE RAVE FISH CREW
LOF$ ssh testuser:s...@localhost
otp-md5 98 mima79226
S/Key Password:
otp-md5 98 mima79226
S/Key Password:
otp-md5 98 mima79226
S/Key Password:

$ exit

---
It just wouldn't let me in anymore. The logs say nothing other than the
Jul 18 11:16:44 mimas sshd[6524]: Failed bsdauth for testuser from 127.0.0.1
port 24344 ssh2
message.

I've disabled skey logins on my system, in case anyone wonders.
>Fix:
        Unfortunately none.
