My situation:
4 OpenBSD systems with softraid0
1 system ultra scsi3 raid
2 system sata raid 1
1 system sata raid 5
On all machines raid works fine. Just when using ftp or scp with huge
files like an iso the raid crashes.
I have tested by setting noauto on the raid in fstab in order to be able
too boot after a raid crash
every time gigs are sent to the raid the whole system hangs dead. and
disk is destroyed
solution:
in /etc/fstab <raid entry> use option rw,softdep,[.....] 1 2
in /etc/sysctl.conf
kern.maxvnodes=2963
Not even does the raid not crash the bandwith gets higher too.
