Thank you for the quick response. I've downloaded the latest am64 snapshot:

 install50.iso 08-Aug-2011 15:04   233M

... and the same issue...

I'm new to BSD so while I am able  to create the acpidump reports, I
have yet to be able to mount my USB stick to save it on or save the
image using gmail in lynx. And I've destroyed my other computers
install trying to format the USB to a BSD readable format. So I'll be
doing some reading and I'll prob get back to you in about a week.
