First of all my apologies for not using sendbug. My OpenBSD machine isn't functional. I'll try to keep to the template.

Description:

After installing either OpenBSD 5.0 release or current on this particular hardware layout the kernel freezes during boot when initializing acpiec0 at acpi0 (see dmesg). This occurs when using either the bsd or bsd.mp kernel. The bsd.rd kernel boots perfectly fine.

While troubleshooting with User Kernel Config utility I discovered:
   a) When the bios0 driver is disabled the kernel boots ok.
b) When the bios0 driver is enabled with the flag settings changed as mentioned in the man page the kernel continued to freeze. c) When the acpi driver is disabled another driver further up the chain freezes. (i.e The mttr driver then froze and when I disabled mttr another driver froze. At the end of the chain of disabled drivers the isa driver froze and I couldn't boot without that)

How-to-Repeat:
Boot OpenBSD using the bsd or bsd.mp kernel on this particular hardware layout.

Fix:
Unknown

I've captured the dmesg output of the bsd.mp kernel by redirecting the console to a terminal during boot.

I've also captured the usbdevs, pcidump, acpidump using the bsd.mp kernel with the bios0 driver disabled.
