I've just set SATA mode to compatibility in the BIOS. Now, I get
lots of timeout, bus master DMA, and CRC errors when trying to install.
This looks more like a hardware problem, don't know if the MB or the disk
causes it.

This is the third X220 in two weeks, the first two went back for keyboard
and screen issues...

Looking up quality control in Chinese dictionary, no entry.
Sorry for the noise. Will investigate this further.
