OK, I've used this machine constantly without issues from the X server. I recently rebooted *after* having booted windows (which I don't do that often on this machine) and the X server segfaulted.
Attached is the relevant bits. [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/octet-stream which had a name of Xorg.0.log] [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/octet-stream which had a name of pcidump] [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/octet-stream which had a name of dmesg]
