Could you check if you have any audio related options in the BIOS? If you have options to disable recording and/or the microphone, please enable it and try again. It seems that when the microphone is disabled from the BIOS, certain devices keep exposing recording capability which causes sndiod to fail to start which in turn causes the problem you observe.
