Installed 8 April 2015 snapshot; kernel subsequently built from
source cvs updated 9 April.

On console (no X11 running), the zzz command appears to put the machiine
to sleep normally: the crescent moon led at the base of the LCD blinks,
the screen blanks and then the crescent moon goes solid and the machine
appears suspended.

When the lid is closed and then opened the crescent moon LED blinks
for a bit and then goes solid but the machine freezes.  The video
is scrambled (vertical white bands) so the screen is illegible and
no messages can be read.  Typing commands blind has no effect,
the machine is not reachable via the network and appears dead.
