When ending X11 ctrl-alt-backspace or clean quit in cwm via CMS-q
keybinding
system hangs. Doesn't matter whether X11 was started via xdm or startx
until inteldrm supports broadwell video (hopefully not too much longer) this
is more or less expected.
For now the workaround is to switch to another virtual terminal and from a
shell there kill the X server.
On the Lenovo it locks hard enough I can't get to another virtual
terminal. For those rare instances I want to end X switching first and
issuing `rcctl stop xdm` is safe.
