For the record, this is caused by a BIOS bug that affects many recent
Lenovo laptops.  If the OS doesn't actively manage the TPM on these
systems, the TPM blocks the resume.  Lenovo has releases a fixed BIOS
for some models.  But the bug keeps popping up in newer models.  You
can fix the problem by completely disabling the TPM in the BIOS setup.
