Hi, TL;DR: rename on msdosfs misbehaves
Since I started playing with them, I've been experimenting issues
with the small msdos formatted partition that is used on my arm-v7 and
octeon machines to hold the kernel.
For a while I blamed cache coherency issues on arm-v7, but now I tried
on a vnd on amd64 and got the same result. So it should be easy to
debug for anyone who'd like like some commits against some debugging
work.
It's definatly *not* something new or related to pledge(2). I just got
tired of newfs'ing my boot partition everytime I want to install a new
kernel.
How to repeat:
