I did not realize during the installer (5.9 on the Toughbook I just mentioned on tech@; I will try again with 6.0 on release) that iwn cards wouldn’t actually work until after the first boot. It would be nice if the installer could recognize which interfaces need unavailable firmware to operate and warn the user that they will not be able to connect.
