It really doesn't matter whether ESXi shows 32-bit or 64-bit since VMware is not providing their own tools and all VMware tools functionality is provided via the vmt(4) driver. I'm guessing that specifying an OS type of FreeBSD without specifying 32-bit or 64-bit defaults to 32-bit. The functionality provided by vmt(4) does not need the host to know whether the guest is 32-bit or 64-bit. Bryan
