I tried to use my onboard Marvell 88SE9172 SATA controller to install a hdd. So there is no disk visible I can could taken. The controller runs in AHCI mode, no additional driver should be neccessary!? In IDE mode I have access to the disk wired to the controller but only in PIO mode with a high load of interrupt and transfer rates ~ 1,3 or less MB/s.
