Hello,
OpenBSD 6.2 doesn't work well with the usb3 ports on my Thinkpad x230.
I tried to create a partition on a usb drive with XHCI_DEBUG enabled,
in hope it can be of help to find out what went wrong so that we can
improve xhci(4). No such issues with the usb2 port.
I tested multiple usb drives and got similar results, below is just the
test case with one though. Please let me know if I should submit more
reports with other usb drives.
Attached is the dmesg output after booting OpenBSD 6.2, plugging in the
usb drive, running "fdisk -iy sd2", creating a partition with disklabel
and running "newfs sd2a". "newfs" hangs, sometimes this happens on
"disklabel". I waited about 10 minutes after i got the following
message in newfs, before removing the drive and getting dmesg output:
