This problem happens to me on the T430 when connecting from the mini-DisplayPort on the laptop to an HDMI port on my monitor. The problem persists on 6.4-current that I updated yesterday. However -- if I connect to an actual DisplayPort port on the monitor (with a different cable), then the problem goes away. In summary, the problem happens for me with the HDMI1 xrandr device but not with DP1. Hopefully this could be a workaround for you as well. -- Joe Nelson https://begriffs.com
