The SSID with a space works correctly in 6.5 It turns out that the wireless connection initially fails (the boot page shows that the interface is sleeping). But a few minutes later the interface will be connected anyway.
In 6.3 I did not see this behavior. The boot page would show that the interface was connected. In both cases I may have a poor wireless signal. For this reason, I did the mistake to believe that I had a problem with the space in the SSID.
