Hi there, first excuse if my bug report dont fit the standards.
I run into trouble installing OpenBSD 6.6 on a Core2quad machine with amd64 installer. First I tried the miniroot66.fs, dd it to a usb stick and loaded the sets from the internet. when installing base66.tgz a message appears: ar: invalid header, starting valid header search. I tried different http mirrors to make sure its not a connection failure. Then I repeated the dd command on the stick to make sure, that there are no errors. I ran into the same troubles as before. With different mirrors I couldnt get base66.tgz installed. error message was always: invalid header. Lastly I could manage the install with install66.fs. I dd it to the stick and tried to load the sets from the mirrors and the same failure happens again. So I had to take the sets from disk and that did the install finally. perhaps my install failure is of some interest for you. Great thanks to all of you for the nice software you are offering! regards and greetings from germany wumodan
