could you try repeating the issues on a freshly created user?

Did you upgrade from 6.6 or is it a fresh 6.7 install?


This is a new install and as such the user is new also with the caveat 
that I copied over some config files.

I created a new user and created a new ~/.xsession file with the only 
line being:
exec startxfce4
