There are few drivers in our tree which handle disconnects from the AP. Most of damien's drivers get you up and running but they don't implement all possible state transitions. As far as I know, this is fixed in iwm and iwx. Any other drivers will likely just appear to "hang" if the AP disconnects them and require manual ifconfig down/up to restore. Patches welcome.
