First of all thank you for the report!

I looked at this last night when you sent it. Nothing obvious pops up. I will try to try it on an OpenBSD machine soon. Currently away.

Not sure caching is the culprit, but will definitely investigate this when I get back. If you don't mind asking, how did you trigger this issue in real life?
