>Synopsis: man pages for unbound(8) and releated, as well as many others
>do not link to referenced man pages
>Category: documentation
>Environment:
System : OpenBSD 6.8
Details : OpenBSD 6.8 (GENERIC.MP) #5: Mon Feb 22 04:36:10 MST 2021
[email protected]:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC.MP
Architecture: OpenBSD.amd64
Machine : amd64
>Description:
In the man pages of unbound(8), unbound.conf(5) and
unbound-checkconf(8) all referenced man pages do not generate clickable links
when viewed in HTML.
The same is true for -current, as well as for many other man pages.
>How-To-Repeat:
Open https://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.8/unbound.8,
https://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.8/unbound.conf, or
https://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.8/unbound-checkconf in a w\
eb browser. Then note that references to e.g. resolv.conf(5), unbound.conf(5),
unbound-checkconf(8), nsd(8), etc. are not links.
>Fix:
Workaround: Copy the name of the referenced tool/file, open
https://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.8/ and search for the man page manually.
Solution: The aforementioned man pages use e.g. \fIunbound\fR(8)
instead of .Xr unbound 8. Instead of using font formatting options the
.Xr links should always be us\
ed to reference other man pages.
