I'm also seeing a problem while playing a game. OpenMW/morrowind crashes while initializing and the system freezes. I cannot alt-tab my window manager to focus another window. I cannot Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to kill X11. I cannot Ctrl+Alt+F1 to change to console. I cannot even press the power button of my laptop to shut down. (I can still hold the power button for 5 secs to force hardware shut down). I don't know if it has some relation with the inteldrm errors, but this problem has begun after them.
