Having windows tiled I can't switch to complementary layout
(to horizontal from vertical or to vertical from horizontal) in 2 cases:
1. The master window is focused
(the one that occupies the left half of the screen with window-vtile
or the top half of the screen with window-htile)
(and there are any number of tiled windows in total);
2. When there are 2 windows tiled, not only focus on master
but also focus on the 2nd window as well blocks switching.
Retiling does work when 3 or more windows are tiled
and a non-master window is active.
Also, I don't know whether or not it is a bug but
tiling doesn't work with only 1 open window.
cwmrc is as plain as:
bind-key 4-v window-vtile
bind-key 4-h window-htile

0. Set keybindings for window-htile and window-vtile commands in .cwmrc
and restart cwm for .cwmrc to take effect.
1. Spawn 1 window. Try tiling it. (should fail)
2. Spawn additional window.
Try tiling your 2 windows vertically or horizontally (should succeed).
Focus on master window. Try complementary tiling command:
horizontally if vertical or vertically if horizontal - (should fail).
Focus on 2nd window. Try complementary tiling command - (should fail).
3. Spawn additional window.
Try tiling your 3 windows (should succeed).
Focus on master window. Try complementary tiling command (should fail).
