Hi,

I don't have much information except using the default Openbsd 7.1 install, a
hacker is able to compromise the root account (this without using ethernet or
wifi). I can't figure out why this is. Here is a snippet of /etc/passwd:

peacemaker$ cat /etc/passwd
root:*:0:0:Charlie &:/root:/bin/ksh
daemon:*:1:1:The devil himself:/root:/sbin/nologin
operator:*:2:5:System &:/operator:/sbin/nologin

I am not the devil, nor is my name Charlie.

Please advise,

Sincere regards,
Michael
