For reference, if people taking screenshots ensure that the original image is good quality, it's usually possible to reduce and compress them considerably and maintain readability. Then the images can be sent as attachments without causing excessive bandwidth consumption, and avoiding the risk that information is lost from the list archives in the future, (because images files hosted externally are later removed). Taking the images in this thread as an example, you can achive ~64 Kilobyte file size for each one resizing with ImageMagick using: -strip -auto-orient -resize 25% -quality 50
