That is expected and as described in install documentation, see faq 4 "The install79.iso and install79.img images do not contain" [..] > 1. Package base79.tgz is not unpacking. you're installing the i386 (32-bit) version, there are known issues with some hypervisors. unless you specifically need i386 then try amd64.
