I've successfully run jameszxj's patch and example code on these
architectures/BSPs: Arm/xilinx_zynq_a9_qemu, PowerPC/psim, SPARC/erc32,
and i386/pc386. I also ran tests DL01-09 on each stated BSP with and
without the fix and ensured that the fix didn’t break any of these tests.
