Sphinx 5.3.0 is the end of the 5.x series. Using that and reverting the
patch for Sphinx 7 appears to be OK. I'm in the middle of adding a chapter
to the Classic API Guide so I will use it until done with this and see how
it goes.
I've actually tried enough combinations now that I want to be a Sphinx
user for a bit and make sure I didn't miss anything.
