Chris Johns commented on a discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/docs/rtems-docs/-/issues/113#note_128462 This issue is about documenting a policy and not the outcome of the policy and how it could be applied. We need to define an upper version to manage the new features we can use. For example there is no point using a type checking syntax only available in 3.12. Testing down from a base version is welcome but it is not a requirement for those developing Python code for our tools. Documenting what works on Linux is a good idea however that is out of scope of for a policy other than the policy needs to be usable. I am sorry but I do not use Linux and have not idea about distributions or how to handle that sort of thing. I suggest topics on the User forum to manage that information. It is dynamic and that tool may prove useful in handling the changes and user feedback. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/docs/rtems-docs/-/issues/113#note_128462 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
