I will resolve this thread.

But if GCC documentation for the version RTEMS is using is wrong, we need to 
report it. But it is easy to use the native GCC documentation and it is usually 
ok. But for changes in new warnings or warning level, you need to be looking at 
the right version. 

FWIW there were years of on and off discussions about being harsher about K&R 
and C89 things that were still supported but C99 gave us better/safer ways to 
do.
