Amar Takhar commented on a discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/972#note_140481 The temporary holding area is where they are right now, i don't want to pollute contrib/ with broken history the whole point is to be able to cleanly identify our changes. Once we wind back the changes we're going to have large blobs that will make it impossible to figure out what's going on which breaks the entire purpose of this move. We have a similar policy to patches we don't allow them to be committed because they end up staying around and I'd argue the same applies here: if we move it it'll just stay. The point is to make careful decisions on moving it. I put a lot of effort getting this setup and I'm really not feeling circumventing that effort for.. well, I don't understand why you're trying to do this move? What's the point? let's do it properly, please. I have an Epic to track this https://gitlab.rtems.org/groups/rtems/-/epics/33 -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/972#note_140481 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
