When I asked on the binutils mailing list, Alan Modra gave this [explanation](https://sourceware.org/pipermail/binutils/2026-January/147930.html). My understanding is that as a cross BSP issue, some sections have that attribute and are being included in the BSS size. That seems to be your explanation also.
