Project:Branches: sebhub/rtems:up/leon3-irqmap-bound to rtems/rtos/rtems:main Author: Sebastian Huber ## Summary Issue #5786: The IRQMAP support assumes 64 bus interrupt lines One commit. It removes `BSP_INTERRUPT_VECTOR_MAX_MAP` and bounds the interrupt map by `BSP_INTERRUPT_VECTOR_COUNT`, the size of the dispatch table. The BSP then reads only IRQMAP0 to IRQMAP7. A map field value outside this bound becomes line 0, and a bus line which maps to line 0 is an invalid vector. The generated `irqamp-regs.h` still declares 16 map registers. The BSP reads only the first eight. The GR740 test suite passes on SIS with rtems/tools/rtems-sis!13: | Build | Before | After | | --- | --- | --- | | uni | 642 passed, 1 failed | 643 passed, 0 failed | | SMP | 713 passed, 1 failed | 714 passed, 0 failed | The failure before the change is `ts-validation-intr.exe`. **BSP** `sparc/gr740` ยท **Simulator** SIS with rtems/tools/rtems-sis!13, `-gr740 -extirq 10 -m 4` ## AI Details <!-- Make sure you have read our statement at https://www.rtems.org/generative-ai/ --> ### Prompt used None as a single prompt. The work was done in an interactive Claude Code session on the RTEMS tree. The task was to fix the defect of #5786, which an earlier session found while it ran the GR740 test suite on SIS. Each change was directed and reviewed. ### AI model used Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), through Claude Code. ### How AI was used for the contribution - ( ) Formatting - ( ) Test creation. - (x) Code comments. - ( ) The entire contribution was generated using AI - ( ) AI code completion such as Copilot in VSCode. The implementation was produced in that session under my direction, and the commit message and this description were drafted there. ### Access I have not used a product which claims copyright in its output, and I have legitimate access to the one I used. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1514 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
