Issue created by Sebastian Huber: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/tools/rtems-tools/-/work_items/43
The assembler of i386 and microblaze adds `_GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_` as an undefined symbol to an object which uses a thread-local storage operator. No relocation record references the symbol. rtems-ld treats it as unresolved and stops with "symbol not found: _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_". A Newlib built with `--enable-newlib-reent-thread-local` carries such objects, so no application which links them can become a RAP file. The test `dl06` of RTEMS does not build on i386 and microblaze. Found while running the RTEMS test suite on eleven simulators.
