Christian Mauderer started a new discussion: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1529#note_160920 The new `linkcmds.highmem` looks mostly like a copy of the `bsps/powerpc/shared/start/linkcmds.share`. There is a difference in the MEMORY section. Otherwise only a few whitespace-changes and a few lines above. Would it make sense to split the `bsps/powerpc/shared/start/linkcmds.share` into a `linkcmds.share` that looks about like follows: ``` OUTPUT_FORMAT("elf32-powerpc", "elf32-powerpc", "elf32-powerpc") OUTPUT_ARCH(powerpc) /* Do we need any of these for elf? __DYNAMIC = 0; */ MEMORY { VECTORS : ORIGIN = 0x0 , LENGTH = 0x3000 CODE : ORIGIN = 0x3000 , LENGTH = 32M - 0x3000 } INCLUDE linkcmds.share_sections ``` Additionally a `linkcmds.share_sections` with the remaining part of that file. Then your new file could use the same new `linkcmds.share_sections`. -- View it on GitLab: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/1529#note_160920 You're receiving this email because of your account on gitlab.rtems.org.
