Hi all ,
Having encountered the above and implemented a/the trivial solution, I
would appreciate your guidance as to the next steps.
I believe, as I said in the bug, that this would lead to an overall
improvement in the usability - especially for the newbie user/builder
such as myself.
PFA a webrev for your perusal - the diff can also be found in the above
bug.
Thank you for your help!
Please note that attachments sent to the list is (often, always?)
stripped. If you wish to provide a webrev, it is better to put it on a
web server and send a link. In this case it didn't matter, the patch was
available in the bug report and simple enough to not require a full webrev.
The only remaining steps is legal and administrative. :) As I understand
it, you or your company needs to have signed the OCA. I do believe IBM
have done that (but I'm not sure how I would go about to check it) so
it's probably only a formality.
After that, there are no more steps for you. We'll take care of your
patch and submit it to a proper release. (At this time, it's not likely
that it will make it to JDK8.)
