Bug: https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8189761 Webrev(s): https://cr.openjdk.java.net/~andrew/openjdk8/8189761/hotspot/ https://cr.openjdk.java.net/~andrew/openjdk8/8189761/jdk/ https://cr.openjdk.java.net/~andrew/openjdk8/8189761/root/
This backport is largely clean, bar fuzzing, for the JDK and root repositories, but needs changes in the HotSpot repository to account for the older build used in OpenJDK 8 and below. In 8, the HotSpot build is largely independent of the main configure-based build and so occasionally duplicates top-level logic. I've tested this works on GNU/Linux. Due to the different platforms affected, ideally someone should test this on other platforms, particularly Windows, to avoid breakage there. -- Andrew :) Senior Free Java Software Engineer Red Hat, Inc.
