I would prefer if you could move the notes/comment from L125-157 to the
bug report to avoid cluttering the test. Instead, the test just needs a
one line comment to say that toRealPath does not work with environments
using the legacy subst mechanism. In the mean-time, I think Brian is
trying to page in list of consistency issues that adding support for
subst introduces.
